Annual Exhibition: Saturday 9th February, 2008
Newbury College

The annual exhibition of the Newbury Model Railway club was held on Saturday 9th February at the Newbury College.

There were eleven layouts including three club layouts being displayed along with a variety of traders providing interest for both families looking for a fun day out and those with a keen interest in railways and model railways.

Club Stand

We also had a club stand for the first time informing visitors of what we do at the club along with information and photographs of all our club layouts and current projects.

Although visitor numbers were slightly down on last year, there was a very good attendance and feedback from visitors was very positive.

The Two Circles
'OO' and 'O' Gauge Circles

This year we decided it would make a good display to bring both our circle layouts and place them one inside the other to allow visitors to view trains of both 'OO' and 'O' gauge running side by side.

Shame I forgot to take any pictures other than this one while we were setting up in the morning. Oh well, maybe next year.

Exdale Light Railway
Panoramic View

This year's exhibition was the very first outing of the Exdale Light Railway layout complete with its newly finished extension.

You can view more pictures of Exdale taken at the exhibition in the galleries section.

Guest Layouts
East Lynn

We had eight visiting layouts this year and many people commented on the high standard of all these layouts.

You can view a selection of pictures taken of the various guest layouts at the exhibition this year in the galleries section.

And the winner is...
First Prize Winner

We ran a raffle this year and congratulations go to the Stevens family for winning the main prize of a Roco Digital Starter Set.

And finally a big thank you to the exhibitors, the traders, the staff at the Newbury College, the members of the Newbury Model Railway Club and most of all the general public who visited our exhibition.

As always, we hope to see you all next year!
