Park House School
The annual exhibition of the Newbury Model Railway Club was held on Saturday 14th February
at the new venue of Park House School.
There were thirteen layouts including three club layouts being displayed along with nine traders.
We also had a demonstration of signal making by one of our members, a club stand full
of information and photographs as well as a train simulation demonstration.
Visitor numbers were good and we received positive feedback from the vast majority who seemed
to approve of the new venue and the variety of layouts on display.

'OO' and 'O' Gauge Circles
Due to a very positive response from last year's show, we once again decided to bring both our
circle layouts and place them one inside the other to allow visitors to view trains of both
'OO' and 'O' gauge running side by side.

Exdale
A new country extension has been added to Exdale since it was displayed last year and this
along with the original layout was the version displayed at this year's show.
Exdale now has two fully completed extensions (wharf extension and country extension) and
can be displayed in various combinations to suit any occasion.

Purbeck
This year was our largest exhibition in terms of layouts with a total of ten from visiting clubs, societies and enthusiasts.
You can view a selection of pictures taken of the various guest layouts at the exhibition this year in the galleries section.

John Tillyer
The members of the Newbury Model Railway Club would like to dedicate the 2009 exhibition to
the memory of John Tillyer who sadly passed away in April 2008.
John was a founder member of the club and was involved with organising our annual exhibition on numerous occasions.
